Classical conditioning is a type of learning through which an organism learns to associate one stimulus with another.
In the movie Clockwork Orange, fifteen year old Alex was subject to classical conditioning. After acting out during an inspection, Alex was the first candidate for an experimental treatment called Ludovico’s Technique.
Before the treatment, Alex was a perverse and violent person.
The treatment used on Alex to stop this behavior consisted of showing Alex different videos while putting a serum in his eyes that would cause him sickness; this way he would relate violence and sex to evil.
After the treatment was conducted, it is obvious that Alex now relates violence and sex with pain and evil.
