I think im going to be sick!

In the movie Clockwork Orange, a wild and troubled young man named Alex was convicted of murder and sent to jail. He got the chance to be apart of a study that used classical conditioning. Classical Conditioning is a type of learning through which an organism learns to associate one stimulus with another. Scientist thought that this special program could help Alex fix his evil actions. Alex was strapped to a chair with his eyelids clamped open and forced to watch violent films. While he watched the files he was injected with a drug that made him feel nauseous. He reacts to the movie while sitting there and gagging. This procedure was repeated multiple time. Alex now associates violence with nausea. If Alex thinks or even tries to be violent he experiences an unpleasant physical reaction even without the drugs. This is classical conditioning because Alex's body becomes conditioned every time he experiences violence.(UCS-Violent thoughts, URS-His normal reaction to violence, CS-Violent thoughts, CS-after experiment he feels nauseous).

Alex reacts to the experience just like the dogs reacted in Ivan Pavlov. He would rang a bell as he gave the dogs food. He repeating this several times just like the scientist did in Clockwork Orange. When the dogs heard a bell they wanted food. The results of the Ivan Pavlov experiment and the Clockwork Orange experiment were similar. Alex was being manipulated just like a dog.
